Even though each pollen grain has two male gametes, why at least 10 pollen grains and not 5 are required to fertilize 10 ovules present in a particular carpel ?

→ This is because one male gamete fertilizes the egg cell forming embryo while the other fertilizes central cell forming endosperm.
