Even Though the carbon content on earth is constant, why is there a rise in temperature due to carbon dioxide ?

it is because the carbon dioxide that we are creating is much more than the speed of plants absorbing it. as a result there is gradual increase of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. as carbon dioxide increase, it stops the heat from escaping into space and due to rise in temperature causes polar ice caps to melt..
