Why are the faeces of camel is in the form of dry pellets

It is an adaptation feature to conserve water. The intestine of camels reabsorb water from intestinal material as it is digested so dry feces are produced.

Faeces of camel are in form of dry pallets because of following:---

●camel live in deserts where availability of water is scare.They live without water for many days.

●Sobthey need to conserve water and hence they excrete minimum amount of water in their waste.

●so this is an adaptation where water is reabsorbed from food in camel in large interstine so dry faecal waste is produced.

●Hence camel excrete their waste in form of dry pallets.
