heating effect generate where electricity flow so current flow into wires not in plug
in switch there is just a copper socket in which wires plugged
so due to flow of more current there is heating effect cause and hence burn the wire

Hey,
Thanks for asking this question.
Here is your answer,
The electric plugs have metal wires in it.
Metals are known to have high boiling points and the wire inside these plugs is coated with plastic which is said to have a lesser boiling point than the metals so the electric plugs do not melt.
Hope this will help you.
