Every computer connected to the internet is identified by a unique four part string known as IP address.. (Internet Protocol Address).
Now what's IP address..

Internet can be connected to any computers, mobiles, etc.. But to identify which computer or machine is using the internet becomes difficult if most computers uses same connection.
To overcome that problem,
Each computer consists of an address which is unique and specified for the specific machine.
This address denotes the connection that is used and is easier to find out which machine is actually using the net now.
This address which determines the working of net and are specific to each are known as Internet Protocol or Internet Provider Address
(IP address).
Hope this is ur required answer

Every computer connected to the internet is identified by a unique four-part string, known as IP address (Internet protocol).
Every web capable device needs IP address to enable it to use the internet.
It is not possible to use the internet because computers cant connect to each other without it.
