every morning your friend is late getting ready, so, the school bus wait for several minute for him. since the driver keeos the engine running, fuel is waste, everyone annoyed with your friend because they are kept waiting,, how you would explain to your friend the resultant problems and what step you would suggest to help resolve the issue

First of all i concern about this matter with my friend that not only he waste his time but also he waste the time of all the student waiting for him. 
Then i tell him about the wastage of fuel caused by him. I make promise that he would never late and always come to the bus stop in time.
I will also talk to the conductor that don't let the bus start while waiting for any student.
