Examine the laws/customs of the Lilliputians
Answers
There are quite a few strange customs and laws in Lilliput. Here are a few:
-They write from one corner of the page to the other, “like the ladies in England.”
-The dead are buried with their heads pointing directly downward. The Lilliputians believed the world was flat hence the dead will rise again when the Earth is upside down.
-Anyone who falsely accuses someone else of a crime against the state is put to death.
-Children are raised not by individual parents but by the kingdom as a whole. Parents see their children only twice a year.
The main customs and law in Lilliput are as follows:
• The customs are written down from one point to another of a page.
• When a dead body is buried, the head of the dead must be in the downward direction. This was due to believing that death will rise up again.
• The kids were not raised by the parents individually but it was the kingdom system where the parents only meet the kids two times in a year.
