The poem 'London' written by William Blake, very wisely portrays the time of French Revolution in it. It was a time of upheaval and revolt wherein the people showed their angst against the ruling monarch through violence. Power was seized through force and not by moderate means. The scenario was changing, as common people rose to make their stand in politics. Therefore, in the context of this poem, Blake has made an indirect reference towards the revolution, and to be inspired by the same, and take it up in the present day.
