A trader mixes two kinds of tea in the ratio 2 : 1 and makes a profit of
25% by selling the mixture at Rs. 70 per kg. He makes profit of the same
rate on mixing them in the ratio 3 : 2 and selling the mixture at Rs. 72 per
kg. Find the prices at which he bought them.
Solution : Let the cost price of two kinds of tea be Rs. x and Rs. y
respectively. Let 2kg of the I kind and I kg of the II kind be mixed. Then​

Average CP of Mixed Tea when Mixed in Ratio 3:2

=3+240×3+50×2=5220=Rs.44

Wen SP=Rs. 48/kg

=444×100=9.09≈10% gain
