Answer:-

• Discount on it is Rs. 44

• Sale price is Rs. 176

Given:-

List price (Marked Price) = Rs. 220

Discount percentage = 20%

To Find:-

Discount on it = ?

Sale Price = ?

Case 1:

Formula:-

\pink{\bigstar} \boxed{Discount \%[D \%] = \dfrac{Discount [D]}{Marked \: Price [M.P]} \times 100}

20 = \dfrac{D}{220} \times 100

D = 20 \times \dfrac{220}{100}

D = \bf{44}

Hence, the discount is Rs. 44

• Case 2:

Formula:-

\pink{\bigstar} \boxed{Discount [D] = Marked Price [M.P] - Sale Price <strong>[</strong><strong>S.P</strong><strong>]</strong>}

44 = 220 - S.P

S.P = 220 - 44

S.P = 176

Hence, the sale price is Rs. 176

Therefore,

• The discount on it is Rs. 44

• The Sale price is Rs. 176
