here is your answer...

1. A person holding a heavy mass on his shoulders doesn't do any work(work is zero) even if he stands for a long time. But if he's moving with it for sometime means he has done work which would be total mass times total vertical displacement. Horizontal displacement is not taken into consideration.

2. When a man carrying some load on his head and moves on a horizontal platform the work done by the man is zero.


3. A big heavy box sitting on top of a table --although there are forces involved-- is zero work. Someone holding the same box, and nov moving, is doing zero work as well.
