Order of polynomial is the highest degree of the variable x in the polynomial

Lets say a polynomial
y =  {x}^{2}  + 4 {x}^{2}  + 9x
Here
 {x}^{2} and \: 4 {x\:}^{2}
Both having same degree 2 so highest degree will be 2
