Bidirectional is a communications mode that is capable of transmitting data in both directions (send and receive), but not at the same time. Bi-di (bidirectional) is also a printer port mode that was first introduced by IBM in 1987 with their introduction of the PS/2 computer.
Current flow through a diode is unidirectional because of the diode only conduct in forward bias .As you know the diode have two terminal cathode and anode . and when the positive terminal of battery connected to the p-side and other terminal connected to the other terminal of diode then diode is called forward biased
