In Hindi when poetry is expressed, it is usually done in nine types of pattern where they are called as ras.

Each ras signifies an emotion. Shant Ras signifies the feeling when one has attained peace by worshipping God and given up on the hustles that life’s turmoil bring.

Examples of shant ras are- happiness, forgiveness, guilt etc.
