Media is a medium to communicate with the whole world.It definitely has crucial responsibility on shoulders. People blindly believe in media and are easily convinced what they hear from media. But the question arises: Do we ever try to judge the truth of all the information we get from media?

Media plays a significant role in social, cultural,political and economic aspects. It has a significant social responsibility. The exposing of social evils,casting couch and spreading social awareness like, about health, sanitation, education are the roles played by media.

There are many ill practises going in our nation like child marriage,honour killing, female infanticide,rape,sexual abuse,home violence, dowry practises,corruption etc. All these have been exposed and have compelled our government to take strong steps on it. The shows like Satyamev Jayate and magazines working on social issues etc. have opened eye of the people and make them think about the social evils in society and how to eradicate them.

There are many such examples of social media, which has helped in changing the course of past and future, enlightened people with the knowledge and have helped our nation to form a free and modern society. With the great work comes a great responsibility. It is essential for media also to provide their listeners, readers and viewers the correct and authentic information so that it gives a right direction to the people of our country.
