Colours Addition

✴Colours that are formed by the combination of any two primary colours are called secondary colours.

The secondary colours are

Red + Blue = Magenta

Red + Yellow = Green

Note - The secondary colours obtained by mixing primary colours are different. This is so because paints contain pigments which are not colours of light.

Examples

✔A yellow Marigold flower when viewed in sunlight appears yellow because it absorbs blue and reflects both Red and Green.

✔The football players play with red Jersey and green pants during the day. The jerseys appears red because it absorbs all other colour except red. It is the only colour reflected. Their pants appear green because it reflects only green and absorbs all other colours .
