There are 3 types of tenses. 1) Present 2)Past 3)Future. Present tense means the word(s) we are using right now. Past tense means the word(s) we used before. Future tense means the word(s) which we will be using in future.
Negative statements means the statements which make use of a negative word i.e. no , not , never , nevertheless , etc.
