What are the exceptions of the cell theory?

Answer:

Exceptions of the cell theory are:

  • Though viruses don't have cell machinery yet they considered to be an organism.
  • In some organism body is not differentiated into cells and these may have numerous nuclei. ( Ex - Rhizopus )
  • Bacteria don't possess a nucleus and many organelles are also absent.
  • RBC's and sieve tube cells continue to live without nucleus and other vital organelles.
  • Protoplasm is replaced by non-living materials in the surface cells of skin and cork.
  • Connective tissue contains a lot of intercellular material or matrix in which the living cells are embeded.
