Excess glucose is converted into glycogen.

The fate of excess glucose:

  • Insulin changes the abundance of glucose over completely to glycogen in the liver.
  • During assimilation and processing, the sugars in the food we eat are decreased to their least difficult structure, glucose.
  • An overabundance of glucose is then eliminated from the blood, with most of it being changed over into glycogen, the capacity type of glucose, by the liver's hepatic cells through an interaction called glycogenesis.
  • Insulin, hence, assists cells with taking in glucose to be utilized for energy.
