Excess production of somatotropic hormone in children leads to a condition called as GIGANTISM.

Explanation:

When growth hormone called somatotropic hormone leads to two different kinds of disorders in adult and children namely Acromegaly and Gigantism. The former affects the adult whereas the latter is seen in case of children. In children affected with gigantism, the growth may be uneven in comparison to their age. The children may appear like giants.
