Transpiration is the loss of excess water in the form of water vapour by the stomata present in the leaf of a plant. But excess transpiration may take out all the necessary moistures from the plant body resulting in wilting or drying of leaves.

Hi friend

Excessive transpiration results in the wilting of the leaves because loss of water is more than absorption. So the plant does not get enough water content.so it starts wilting.

Hope it helped you
