Since x and angle 125° makes a linear pair.

Therefore,

x+125°=180°

⇒x=180°−125°=55°

Also, angle 125° is the exterior angle of given triangle.

As we know that exterior angle of a triangle is equal to the sum of the opposite interior angles.

∴60°+y=125°

⇒y=25°−60°=65°

Hence value of x and y are 55° and 65° respectively.
