Answer:

Let the breadth be x m.

Length will be 2x - 5 m.

Perimeter = 110 m

2 \: (l + b) = 110 \\  \\ 2(2x - 5 + x) = 110 \\  \\ 2x + x - 5 =  \frac{110}{2}  \\  \\ 3x - 5 = 55 \\  \\ 3x = 55 + 5 \\  \\ 3x = 60 \\  \\ x =  \frac{60}{3}  \\  \\ x = 20 \: m

So breadth = x = 20 m

Length = 2x - 5

= 2 (20) - 5

= 35 m

Answer:

Let breadth if the rectangle = x

length of the rectangle is 5m less than twice of its breadth=2x-5

perimeter of the rectangle=2(l+b)

but 110m is given

therefore 2(2x-5+x)=110

4x-10+2x=110

6x-10=110

6x=110-10

x=100/6

=16.6

breadth of the rectangle =16.6m

length of the rectangle=(2x-5) =2×16.6-5

=33.2-5

=28.2m

I hope this helps you
