Explanation:
Answer:
1. Latitude, longitude, altitude, atmospheric pressure, sea pressure, temperature
2.Tropical monsoon, tropical humid , summer, winter, spring, dry climates are experienced in different parts of India.
3.In tropical monsoon type of climate, there are two dry seasons with low rainfall. There is a distinct rainy season with very high rainfall. Rainfall in the tropical monsoon climate is seasonal in nature and is often irregular and uneven.
There is high annual temperature (approx. 260C) in the tropical monsoon type of climate.
4.Onshore wind power refers to turbines that are located on land and use wind to generate electricity. Offshore wind power is when wind over open water (typically the ocean) is used to generate electricity.
5.The Monsoon rains in India also replenish reservoirs and groundwater that helps in improving irrigation and also boosts hydropower production. Moreover, a good Monsoon season can reduce demand for subsidized diesel used for pumping water from wells, ground, ponds or rivers for irrigation.
6.The main types of local winds are: Sea breezes and land breezes, Anabatic and katabatic winds, and Foehn winds.
7.Most of the parts of India gets rain from the Arabian sea.
8.Kanyakumari
9.Most of the rainfall is caused due to the obstruction of moisture bearing winds by the mountain ranges. As a result, windward side gets heavy rain while the leeward side gets scanty rain. (b)Rainfall is erratic and unpredictable. The amount of rainfall varies from time to time, often resulting in floods and droughts.
10.Spring runs from March 1 to May 31;
Summer runs from June 1 to August 31;
Fall (autumn) runs from September 1 to November 30; and
Winter runs from December 1 to February 28 (February 29 in a leap year).
11.It is period where the rain falls and the word monsoon comes from the Arabic word mausim, which means weather.
12.Land and sea breezes occur on a daily basis while monsoon winds are seasonal or we can say annual winds.
The monsoon winds blow during particular period of a season and then reverses its direction after that season is over.
Land and sea breeze occur every day throughout the year. While sea breeze blows during the day, land breeze blows during night.
We can compare sea and land breeze with monsoon winds. Monsoon winds are just like the sea and land breeze but it is on a larger scale.
Monsoon winds blows south west during summer season ( in India) like sea breeze blows in a particular direction ( from sea to land) during the day.
But in winter the monsoon winds reverses its direction from south west to north east just like the opposite of sea breeze ( land breeze ; from land to sea) during night.
14.The Himalayas act as a perfect climatic divide in the following ways: ... The Himalayas act as a barrier to cold winds that blow from central Asia and thus prevent the Northern Plains from becoming freezing cold. The Himalayas act as a barrier to moisture laden South West monsoon winds.
13.India has diverse conditions and there are sharp variations in precipitation and temperature. The climate is characterized by situation, relief,surface winds and upper current.
15.South west monsoon winds
