Formation of opinion. The government provides a platform where people can air their public opinions and in most cases it is through the legislatures.

Provision of rights. Democracy provides its citizens with various rights for example freedom of speech and expression.

Rule of law. This is where supremacy of law over all is applied, under no circumstance should law be compromised.

In democracy a country can be rule only within limits set by constitutional law and citizens' rights.
