Glycolosis is the process of conversion of Glucose molecule  C6H12O6, into pyruvate and energy.

It takes place in the cytiplasm.

This breaks down in the presence of oxygen and sunlight.

It is the first step of breaking down in both aerobic and anaerobic respiration.

It is a main step in cellular respiration.
