Thanks for asking the question.❤️

\mathscr\pink{Placentation}

In biology, placentation refers to the formation, type and structure, or arrangement of the placenta. The function of placentation is to transfer nutrients, respiratory gases, and water from maternal tissue to a growing embryo, and in some instances to remove waste from the embryo.

Types:

 • Basal placentation: The placenta is at the base (bottom) of the ovary and a single ovule is attached to it. Example: Sunflower, marigold. Parietal placentation: Here ovary is one-chambered but it becomes two- chambered due to the formation of the false septum.
 • Marginal
 • Axile
 • Parietal
