Average velocity is the total displacement divided by the total time taken.Ex-The average velocity of a car which travelled 200m in 10s is 200/10=20m/s

Instantaneous velocity is the velocity of an object for a particular time. The instantaneous velocity of acar for 1s is 18m/s.
