This proverb illustrates the importance of time and also says that there is nothing which is more precious than time. The words TIME AND TIDE WAIT FOR NO MAN is due to the reason that the tides that come out in the sea are there forever and they do not stop or wait for anybody. There is a story in England where one of the king’s courtiers always kept on flattering the king. He said if the king orders everything in the world will stop. The King wanted to check it and he went to the seashore and ordered the waves to stop, but nothing happened. The King turned back to the courtier and said that time and tide wait for none and one day he will also die.
If we remain idle we waste our time and postpone things. Some times this procrastination is very bad. Many people lose their hard work because of postponing their duties. The importance of a minute can be learned from a person who missed the train due to a delay of one minute and had to postpone his whole journey. Those who remain idle or do not perform their duties in time are not only the destroyers of their own lives but also of the nation. Those who waste their youth by indulging in unwanted activities fail to have a pleasant and contented life.

for us. As we spend money wisely, in the same way our time should be spent very cautiously. For this time management is very essential. A farmer has to harvest his crops on time but if he neglects, the birds will eat those crops or untimely rain may destroy it. A successful man only knows the value of time because he has come up with proper use of time coupled with hard work. So, we should not procrastinate, instead every single second should be used carefully. Then only a person will touch the sky of success.
