Given,

(y-\sqrt{3})^{2}

To find,

Expansion of (y-\sqrt{3})^{2}.

Solution,

By applying mathematical property,

(a - b )^{2} = (a)^{2} + (b)^{2} - 2 (a)(b)  ,

Here a = y,

b = \sqrt{3} .

Therefore,

(y-\sqrt{3})^{2}   =  (y)^{2} + (\sqrt{3})^{2} - 2(y)(   \sqrt{3}),

(y-\sqrt{3})^{2}   =  y^{2} + 3  - 2(y)(   \sqrt{3}).

Hence,

The Expansion of (y-\sqrt{3})^{2}  is = y^{2} +3-2\sqrt{3}y
