(x + 2y)³

Using identity

(a+b)³ = + + 3ab(a+b)

we get,

x³ + (2y)³ + 3×x×2y(x+2y)

x³ + 8y³ + 6xy(x+2y)

x³ + 8y³ + 6x²y + 12xy² ..ans....

 =  {x}^{3}  +  {(2y)}^{3}  + 3(x)(2y)(x + 2y)

 =  {x}^{3}  + 8 {y}^{3}  + 6xy(x + 2y)

 =  {x}^{3}  + 8 {y}^{3}  + 6 {x}^{2} y + 12x {y}^{2}

By \: using \: the \: identity, \:

 {(a + b)}^{3}  =  {a}^{3}  +  {b}^{3}  + 3ab(a + b)
