'Strike when iron is hot'- the proverb simply means that do a work or duty when the your action can be useful. For example, a man got hit by a car and he is severely injured.... Now when he is alive...u sholpuld take him to the hospital or give him proper first aid if u know properly...but it would not be surely useful if u take that person hospital after his death..
