different things posses the Ability to either compress fully,partially or not at all general things in the gaseous state are more easily compressible than liquids where as ,in solids we cannot compress them the following experiment can be of use when proving compressibility of things .take three syringes and rubber corks on their ends ,take two substance like water and chalk pieces put water in frist syringes and chalk pieces in second string,leave the thrid syringe empty try to push the syrings with rubber crocks on them you will see that the first syrings will be easy to push but till a certain level and pushing the second is most difficult .the thrid syringe gets pushed very easily this shown that gases are easy to compress . compression is nothing but the process to make the particies of matter come together
