the electrolysis apparatus consist of 6 volt battery,2 platinum electrodes. When a current from 6 volt battery is sent through the water.

The H+and OH- ion moves to oppositely charged electrodes. hydrogen gas will be bubbled as cathode and the oxygen gas will bubbled as anode.
