Answer:

Object - to verify laws of reflection of sound.

Requirement - two metallic or cardboard tubes, stopwatch, drawing board, plastic screen, protractor, chalk piece and a pencil.

Procedure -

(1) Put two cardboard hollow tubes on the table.

(2) Place a drawing board vertically on the table and clamp it properly. Mark the position of drawing board on the table with chalk.

(3) Fix a drawing sheet on the table and the hollow tubes are placed in such a way that they make some angle with each other.

(4) Place a stopwatch near the end of tube placed on left hand side.

(5) Place a plastic screen between the two tubes alon the normal.

(6) Put your ear close to open end of second tube.

(7) Try to hear the sound of stopwatch.

(8) Adjust the inclination of second tube in such a way that sound heard is most audible.

(9) When the reflected sound waves enter the second tube, the ear will hear sound.

(10) draw lines AO and OB after removing the tubes.

(11) Using protractor, measure AON and BON.

(12) Repeat this by altering the angle of incidence.

(13) When the tick sound of stopwatch, normal drawn, reflected sound heard by the ear are in same plane, only then the sound heard is loud and clear.

Result -

(1) Angle of incident aound wave = angle of reflected sound wave.

(2) Sound wave, normal and the reflected sound all lie in same plane.

Hope it helped!!!
