1. Irrational Numbers :- A number which can not be written in the form of p/q where 'p' and 'q' are integers and q ≠ 0 is called irrational numbers.

Example :-  √3 , ∛49 , √5 etc..

2. Real Numbers :- Real numbers are the numbers which include both rational and irrational numbers. The numbers can be both positive or negative. It is represented by the letter 'R'.

Example :-  -5 , 4 , 5/7 etc..

3.Integers:- The set containing both positive and negative numbers including 'zero' is called the set on integers. It is denoted by 'Z' or 'I'.

Example :-  -1 , 0 , 1 , 2 etc..

4. Whole numbers :- The natural numbers along with  zero are called whole numbers. It is denoted by the letter 'W'.

Example :-  0 , 1 , 2 etc..

5. Natural numbers :- Counting numbers like 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 .. are called natural numbers. It is denoted by letter 'N'.

Example :- 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 etc..
