The uses of Herbarium :-

(i) It provides information about the local flora as well as flora of distant areas.

(ii) It is used for correct and authentic identification of unknown plants.

(iii) It depicts the morphological variations found in species.


The uses of Monograph are:-

(i) It tries to review all the facts about a taxonomic group.

(ii) It is a
comprehensive systematic study of a particular taxonomic group.
