Female germ cells or eggs are made in ovaries.They are also responsible for the production of some hormones. Different part of female reproductive system are:
Ovaries-produce thousands of ova or egg cells.Also secretes female sex hormone like oestrogen or progesterone.
Oviduct-Site of fertilization. These open into the uterus from both the sides.Also known as fallopian tube
Uterus-Hollow pear shapes bag like structure.Here the growth and development of foetus takes place.
Cervix-It is the lower and narrower portion of uterus and opens into the vagina
Vagina-Received the sperm from the male partner.Also serves as a birth canal
