When two or more substance are mixed together , the results is called mixture. A homogenous mixture in which on substance, the solute , dissolves completely in another substance , the solvent, may also be called a solution . Usually the solvent is liquid , however the solute can be either a liquid , solid , or gas.
Liquid which do not dissolves in each other are called immiscible liquid. Immiscible liquid can be separated from each other by using a separated funnel.
