The Indian National Movement forms the major part of Modern Indian History. The national movement introduced the concepts of nation, Independence, constitution, parliament, education, reforms which are the base of Modern India. The national movement shows the unification of Indians; rise of social and political groups; rise of individual leaders, revolutionaries, and learned individuals. The growth of press was the major achievement. The movement shows awareness amongst the peasants, tribal, middle class, capitalists, and women. Thus, these new ideas and concepts that developed during the Indian National Movement formed a great part of Modern Indian history.
