MOLE CONCEPT
A mole is a unit used to express the quantity of matter in chemistry. It is defined as "the amount of substance which contains the same no of chemical units(atoms, molecules or ions) as there are atoms in exactly 12 grams of pure carbon.
12g of carbon-12 is found to contain 6.023×10^23 atoms of carbon-12.Thus,a mole represents a collection of 6.023×10^23 chemical units (Atoms, molecules, ions)
The no 6.023×10^23 is called the Avogadro's number. It is denoted by Ná or L.Thus,a mole represents the quantity of material which contains one avogadro 's number of chemical units (atoms, molecules or ions ) of any substance.
1 mole of particles=6.023×10^23 particles (atoms, molecules or ions).
