Hy friend!!
The production of food grains was increased many folds especially in case of wheat and rice. The tremendous increases in the production of wheat and rice as Green Revolution. It was introduced in1960s by M.S Swaminathan.

The green revolution refers to dramatic increase in agricultural productivity due to use of improved variety of seed.
