explain about myopia and hypermetropia?

Myopia is also known as near sightedness.In this defect a person is unable to see far away objects.It can be corrected by using a concave lens.

Hypermetropia is also known as far sightedness.In this defect a person is unable to see nearby objects.It can be corrected by using a convex lens.

Myopia is the defect of the eye  which causes short sightedness.
Hypermetropia is a case  which causes long sightedness.

In both the cases the shape of the eye ball changes
