sedimentation is the process of settling down of heavy solids in a liquid and filtration is process by which very fine insoluble solids can separate from solid - liquid mixture by passing it through porous material

sedimentation---- it refers to setting down of silt and other dust particles which are present in liquid. it can be done by the following ways :
1. get store some water in a tank
2. now left that water undisturbed for sometime .
3. now, you will get the water which is sedimentated and the remaining water can be transfer through anywhere what u want
filtration-- the process of filtering the remaining dust or any type of pollution in water is known as filtration.
