Hey friend your answer is here
Matter can exist in one of three mainstates: solid, liquid, or gas. Solidmatter is composed of tightly packed particles. A solid will retain its shape; the particles are not free to move around. ... Gaseous matter is composed of particles packed so loosely that it has neither a defined shape nor a defined volume.

matter exists in five states: solid, liquid, gases, plasma, bose einstein condensate. We all know about solid liquid and gases but plamsa and bose einstein condensate are new . bose einstein condensate is the state which occur at 1k. plasma is the state which consists of super excited particles.
