Answer:
Explanation:
Lencho and his family are waiting for the rain that will nourish their crops. They require the money from the harvest to support themselves and feed the family. When the clouds gather, though, it's not rain that comes down—it's hail. It destroys all the crops until there's nothing left.
Lencho decides to write a letter to God and ask for help. He asks for 100 pesos to buy new seeds and plant a new set of crops. Then he puts it in the mailbox and hopes that God will answer it.
The postmaster looks at the address on the letter but knows that he can't send it. However, he admires the man's faith and wants to help him. He raises money from his employees, others, and himself and comes up with 60 pesos. Then he puts the money in an envelope and signs it God.
When Lencho gets the letter with the money, he writes an angry reply. The postmaster reads it and sees that Lencho has asked God to send the rest of the money—but not via the post office. He believes the postal employees stole 40 pesos of the money that God sent him.

If we will analyse the story in depth, we could say that it is a satyr of the reality happening in our country. If we take Lenchos character, someone who is very faithful to the creator but still very malcontent of what he receives. If we take the characters of the postmen they are those people who are willing to help and gave help but still they appear to be the antagonist. And if we take the situation that someone gives what a person who is need but he used another person to give it to the needy one there could be possibility that the aid he sends will not be fully received by the supposed receiver. The situation which I mentioned is very rampant especially here in Philippine setting.
Nevertheless, even if you experienced harshness in life always remember you should not lose hope and do something to overcome that problem by doing the best because remember God will do the rest and He will send instruments that will help you. He will do it in his own best ways!
Hope it helps you...

Summary: This story is written by G L Fuentes. This is a story about the great faith of a simpleton in the God. The story begins with Lencho hoping for rains so that his crops would give a better yield. The rain does come but is followed by a devastating hailstorm. Hailstorm destroys all the standing crops and leaves Lencho staring into the bleak future ahead. But Lencho is a strong believer in the God and decides to write a letter to the God; asking for some monetary help. Lencho also wishes to repay the debt when the next crop would give him enough money. After seeing Lencho’s letter, the postmaster is deeply touched by the strong faith of Lencho in the God. The postmaster collects money from his colleagues and sends some money to Lencho. But the money sent by the postmaster is less than what the Lencho had demanded through his letter.
