Explain about Transpiration of water

Transpiration is the evaporation of water through aerial parts of the plant. It helps in excretion in plants by evaporting waste water as water vapour through aerial parts of the plants. It helps in ascent of sap as it creates water which leads the roots to pull water and minerals through xylem. Hence, it is very important for the proper functioning of the plant.
