explain actual mass is greater than the mass number

mass number = number of protons +number of nuetrons in an atom . Now mass of protons and nuetrons is measured in daltons or atomic mass unitu but the mass of each nuetrons and protonos slightly greater than 1 dalton so atomic mass is grater than the mass number
