  • The term homologous comes from the Greek 'homos' meaning same and 'logos' meaning relation.

  • The organs of different animals having same functions but they are differ in structure are known as analogous organs.
  • Analogous organs are opposite of homologous organs.
  • Example : wings of the bird.
