"Animal Kingdom"
Animal are multicellular organisms whose cells have a nuclues and a cell membrane but no cell wall.
Their cells are specialized into tissues, organs and systems, Animals usually move to find their food, which is swallowed and digested inside their bodies. Over 1.5 milloin animal species have been classfied so far-more than 1 million of these are insects.
The animal kingdom is divided into two main groups called "vertebrates" and "invertebrates". Vertebrates are animals that have a backbone. Invertebrates don't have a backbone. About 97% of all animals on Eath are vertebrates.
The animal kingdom is subdivided into many groups because of the large numbers of differnet species that have been discovered.

General Characteristics features of Animals:-
▪️Heterotrophic Nutrition: The organisms which depend on other animals for food is called as heterotrophic nutrition.
▪️Holozoic mode of nutrition: It is a kind of nutrition in which ingestion, digestion, absorption, assimilation of the food takes place.
▪️Multicellularity: Majority of the animals are multicellular except few.
▪️Growth: It is an irreversible, permanent change in the size and shape of the organisms.
▪️Locomotion: All animals have capacity to change the location except few sedentary animals.
▪️Reproduction: Animals exhibit both sexual and asexual reproduction. Sexual reproduction is common in higher animals and asexual reproduction is common in lower animals.
▪️Nervous and sensory system: It is one of the organ system meant for controlling and coordinating body functions.
Animal kingdom is divided into two types:-
▪️Basis of classification.
▪️Classification of Animals.
BASIS OF CLASSIFICATION:
It is divided into 6 types:
=> Level of Organization.
=> Symmetry
=> Diploblastic and Triploblastic Organization.
=> Coelom.
=>Segmentation.
=> Notochord.

Based on Phylum:-
▪️Poriferea.
